You can upload pictures, documents, videos and several other files to Dropbox from your computer or your smartphone, besides you can retrieve that data from anywhere in the world.
How it works: Dropbox is a web-based file hosting service that uses cloud storage that allows the user to upload and download his data at anytime from anywhere in the world.
To access this service you need to register on the Dropbox website. Once you registered you can access this service.
The best part about this service is that it is not only used to upload or save the data but also to share it with your other friends. For instance, if you want to share a big file with your friend then you can do it by using the Dropbox app. You just upload the data on Dropbox and make it live on the website via public folder.
Then you can share its web-link with your friend. You can upload a video or you can make picture gallery on the go and you can share it with your friends. When you log in to the Dropbox it will offer you four accounts type. The first account that is up to 2GB is free for all subscribers.
But if you want to store above 2GB then you you need to pay to the Dropbox Inc. So, you can begin your account with 2GB account type and whenever you want you can upgrade your account.
So, now you can click pictures from your smartphone and make videos, if the memory of your phone gets full then transfer the data to the Dropbox. When you reach your home you can access that account with your computer or a tablet device.
Just go anywhere in the world and log in to your Dropbox account and retrieve your data wherever and whenever you want. This app is available for Android, iOS and almost all other platforms.
