Group messaging becomes more fun with new Disco App
Disco group messenger gets updated
Published on Jul 12, 2011
The Disco App for group messaging was introduced back in march this year for iPhone. The app has now got a facelift and packs in more features than before.
In this App when you sign up, you receive a new phone number and then you are allowed to send texts to a number of people, any one, irrespective of whether they're Disco users or not.
The updates will bring photo sharing and one to one chat facility to the mobile application. This group messaging App has been developed by the Slide team, which is a part of Google.
The latest update brings numerous new functions to the mobile App that comprises Twitter and Yelp integration. Whereas, Photo sharing is also one of the significant addition though most of its competitors have it already.
It seems quite disordered, as Twitter and Yelp are Google's competitors. But then, Slide is working substantially autonomously within Google, and in-fact the Disco App hasn't been promoted by Google either.
The smartphone users can simply use the 'Star' command to follow any Twitter feed within the Disco groups and get all the updates from that feed. In addition to this, they can also swiftly make a poll within the application to get the fast group feedback regarding any question.
