Penguin Publishers reach readers with mobile app

Penguin Publishers, the largest publishing group have added another feather in their cap. The company recently introduced an app tailored-made for its readers.

This app enables readers to browse through its online bookshelf and update themselves with information related to the latest published titles as well as news from the publishing world.

This app can be downloaded from any Apple or Nokia mobile phone. The App shows up under heads ‘just published, bestsellers, and coming soon’. Also, accompanying them there is ‘what’s making news’ section which makes sure that the reader shall not remain devoid of gossips from their own world of books and publishing.  News section also includes an event section wherein one can receive all the information about daily happenings in their city organized by or held under the patronage of Penguin.

It also comprises of a head titled ‘stay connected’ where, as the name suggests, users can indulge themselves into succulent discussions through Facebook and Twitter. This app is easy to use and friendly to all screen sizes and is available free of cost.

Book reading, which used to be a tedious task in those days when Google Baba was not there to make it cost and time effective is now seen as a smart indulgence. With its new avatar in the form of an app custom made for dear readers is just a makeover it has gone through.

But no doubt that this is a new perspective added to the word ‘app’ driving the world today and with innovation like this it seems quite promising.
