OIS and 4K video capture confirmed for LG G Pro 2
The hype around LG keeps building up with each passing day, and not without a reason. After announcing that the device will break cover this month, the company has revealed more interesting tit bits about the camera gear on the device. LG revealed that the device will be equipped with a 13-megapixel camera with a burst shot mode along with something called 'OIS Plus', a more enhanced version of Optical Image Stabilization technology.
This would assist in not only taking clearer, crisp pictures even in dark or low light conditions, but also compensate for a user with shaky hands. Apart from this, the G Pro 2's camera will also be capable of recording Ultra HD (3840x2160) video and slow-motion video. It will also feature a more enhanced 2.1-megapixel front camera over its predecessor.
With the new features, LG G Pro 2 takes the camera experience to a whole new level. With growing competition from rivals, LG knows what it takes to stay ahead of the game and is pulling all stops to awe its consumers once again.
The G Pro 2 will also be seen sporting a massive 6-inch IPS display with a Full HD resolution. It is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800 2.3 GHz quad-core processor, Android 4.4 Kit Kat out of the box, along with LG's much revamped UI and a 3 GB RAM.
When will LG Pro 2 launch?
The tech world is abuzz with rumours that LG will unveil the G Pro 2 at this year's MWC. Word around the web, started by a write-up in Korea's ETNews that Phone Arena came across, is that LG will show off its newbie starting February 24 in Barcelona.
If the South Korean manufacturer does launch the G Pro 2 at MWC, it should not take it too long to bring the phone to global retail markets. We should, then, expect to see the handset flood the market in the next few months.
Given all its high-end features, the G Pro 2 is likely to be priced like all the other premium devices, at the top end of the spectrum.
