The Aircel-Infosys partnership will soon introduce a first-of-its-kind Mobile Application Store in India. The ready-to-launch mobile application platform will be powered by Flypp from Infosys that will be integrated into Aircel's technology environment.
A concept initiated by Apple for iPhone users, mobile application store aims at delivering free or paid applications for consumers to browse and download.
As per the press release, the Aircel Application Store will offer a bouquet of applications drawn from an Infosys-managed ecosystem of independent software vendors (ISVs) and innovators in India and globally.
Mr. S. D. Shibulal, COO and Member of the Board, Infosys, said, "We are delighted to partner with Aircel on their strategic initiative to redefine consumer experience. Flypp is part of our continued thrust to provide platforms and products to help our clients rapidly capitalize on new business opportunities."
