Bharti Airtel offers free Facebook access

The two-month partnership between the telecom giant and Facebook would enable Airtel users to enjoy the free services till August 31. Subsequently, the users would be able to access Facebook's full mobile site faster without any data cost from their Airtel mobiles through m.facebook.com.

"Our mobile customers will also be the first in the world to enjoy Facebook on their Airtel mobile in five vernacular languages. All these reiterate our commitment to customers to offer the best value-for-money services that enable their lifestyles," said Bharti Airtel CMO (Mobile Services) Shireesh Joshi.

Initially, the Facebook's mobile site would be available in Hindi and English, followed by other languages such as Malayalam, Tamil, Telegu, Bengali and Punjabi by July 15. To enjoy the benefits of the special offer, new users would need to simply SMS 'FACEBOOK' to 54321.
