Bharti Airtel, the largest GSM mobile service operator in India with a subscriber base of 136 million, unveiled the new 3G USB data card for its prepaid and postpaid consumers across the Indian marketplace at a price of Rs. 3,799.
The key features of this gadget include Quad band, UMTS/HSDPA 3.6 Mbps support, GSM/EDGE/GPRS and Plug & Play options.
Airtel's 3G USB modem also offers SMS facilities and is compatible with Notebooks and PCs. It supports many operating systems such as MAC/Windows 2000/ Windows XP/ Windows Vista.
Airtel postpaid customers are offered data plans at a monthly rental, which are in the price band of Rs. 49 to Rs. 999. On the other hand, the prepaid users can use Airtel data packs for recharging. The Airtel 3G Plug and Play device comes with a replacement warranty of 1 year.
