Leading global telecommunications company, Bharti Airtel announced launch of 3G services in Durgapur in West Bengal.
Airtel seems to be on a 3G roll. The telecom operator recently launched 3G services in Hyderabad, Bihar and Jharkhand.
Raghunath Mandava, Operations Director – East, Mobile Services, Bharti Airtel said on the occasion, “recognized as India’s eastern development centre, Durgapur is currently undergoing rapid growth across the areas of industrialization, IT, health and education."
He further added," we are delighted to announce launch of Comics, Video Talkies and IPL on Mobile TV – thereby bringing in the complete power of 3G to our customers. Our innovative products are being enjoyed by over 2 million customers on Airtel 3G. Today we welcome customers in Durgapur to join in and leverage Airtel’s world class 3G network experience.”
Airtel customers can now avail unlimited comics from a wide variety at just Rs 5. The choice for the subscribers range from classics like Archies, Amar Chitra Katha collection to regional
favourites.
On Video Talkies, Airtel 3G customers can watch popular Bollywood and regional movies at Rs 25 per view. Airtel currently offers over 25 HD games for its mobile customers in India.
The services can be enjoyed without worrying about a ‘bill shock’, thanks to Airtel's timely updates, alerts and a ‘internet usage calculator’ that informs users about their data usage and monitors their expenditure.
