BSNL launches Universal ITC Card with per second pulse

Published on Jul 22, 2010

BSNL has unveiled the pan-India applicable 'India Telephone Card' (ITC) with per second billing for ISD and Local/STD calls for stimulating growth in the Calling Card services segment.

The call charges will follow the per second tariff plan in the price band of 6p/sec pulse to 45p/sec for all ISD calls. While all STD and local calls to anywhere in India would be chargeable at 1p/second.

The prepaid ITC card is also known as the Virtual Calling Card and enables the user to make STD, ISD or local calls from any GSM phone or MTNL/BSNL landline. However, the phone line used for making the calls is not chargeable. The cost of these calls is debited against the credit payments made for the ITC.
