IDEA Cellular, a leading GSM mobile services operator with 60 million subscribers, will sponsor Deccan Chargers for the upcoming season 3 of Indian Premier League (IPL) T20 Cricket Tournament of the year 2010

IDEA has announced a multi-year sponsorship agreement with the current IPL Champions, The Deccan Chargers of Hyderabad. IDEA Cellular will be the Principal Partner of Deccan Chargers, starting with the third edition of, scheduled to start from March 2010. IDEA brings together last season's IPL Champions Deccan Herald with this sponsorship. Also, Andhra Pradesh, the home of Deccan Chargers, has over 6 million IDEA subscribers in the state.

All the 27 key players of Team Deccan Chargers will wear Brand IDEA logo on the front of their jersey and trousers during the upcoming IPL 3 T-20 Tournament. These key names include, Team Captain Adam Gilchrist, Ace batsmen Andrew Symonds and Rohit Sharma, pace bowler Chaminda Vaas, and several other leading international players.

IDEA further plans to launch a range of value added services on Voice, SMS and WAP portal, for 60 million subscribers, across the country to bring them closer to the Deccan Chargers.
