MTNL announces Push Mail Service tying up with Bharat Berry

MTNL has tied up with Bharat Berry to offer push-mail serivces to all its mobile subscribers in Delhi. A mobile communication service, the Bharat Berry works with most of the mobile phones and provides more advanced push mail services.
As per the statement given by state-owned service provider: "MTNL has entered into an alliance with Bharat Berry Technologies to provide push email services for all its mobile subscribers in Delhi."
This service will allow the existing subscribers to stay connected to their e-mails, calendar and contacts by the servers hosted in India. Moreover, the telecom operator is providing over-the-air (OTA) synchronisation of contacts and calendar for number of e-mail accounts.
To allow the access to all services comprising e-mails and Personal Information Manager (PIM) sync subscribers will be charged Rs. 80 per month for the combo pack. The users can avail the individual services at Rs. 50 each per month.
The push-mail services are offered for both the prepaid as well as postpaid Dolphin subscribers in India. However, the MTNL subscribers need to have GPRS data plan activated on their devices to enjoy this new feature.
