Reliance Communications announced a novel Braille Bill service for delivering postpaid bills to its visual impaired subscribers in India. The service forms a part of the convenience option offered by Reliance Mobile in India for its more than 110 million mobile subscribers.
RCOM boasts of being a pioneer in the Indian telecom market to introduce such a service. On this launch, RCOM President (Corporate-Customer Service) Anurag Prashar said, "There are currently 45 million people suffering from complete visual impairment across the globe. Out of these, nearly 12 million reside in India. Our new service is in line with our objective to delight our customers through innovations that touch their lives."
The Braille Bill would be posted to the visually impaired consumers on a monthly basis without any extra payment.
The new bill would provide key information such as last payment, last dues, bill amount, current usage and adjustments done. The service would be available for postpaid consumers across all product lines of RCOM's wireless business.
