Gemalto, with its MNO Portal Management Solution, has enabled a simple way to deliver VAS services to Tata DOCOMO subscribers via a unique service interface and user experience. The new services are designed in a way that consumers need not remember complicated codes and configuring services whenever users change their mobile handsets.

"We were looking for a reliable partner, with the expertise and capability to implement such a large-scale project,” says Gurinder Singh Sandhu, Head of Marketing at Tata DOCOMO. "Gemalto was able to keep up the challenge and we are very pleased that the deployment of our new services was completed in a timely manner."

The solution will enable the end-user to a one-click access to numerous VAS which will be located in the SIM. The new services offer differentiated solutions with emphasis on consumer experience. It further provides apps and services on SIM that will benefit the customers and simplify mobile usage. Tackling the increasing security aspects, the services will be located in SIM rather than the device.

The operators can keep track of users' preference and choice and the solution will be served on that basis. Also, to ensure content update in real time, there will be a content gateway platform located at service provider’s end. The services will further benefit the subscribers with easy access to mobile banking, mobile chatting and information on demand services through a user-friendly interface.
