Nokia has collaborated with Tata Docomo, the GSM mobile service brand of Tele Services, to offer Ovi Life Tool support to their subscribers. The collaboration would enable Nokia to offer accurate and relevant information on educational and agricultural services to its subscribers in the rural and semi-urban India through Nokia Ovi Life Tools.
The Nokia Ovi Life Tool service would be offered by the two giants via STK, GPRS, USSD and SMS, where the SMS is availed through a short code 55555.
The Nokia Life Tools Agriculture service includes 2 plans - a basic and a premium plan. The basic plan features relevant agriculture-related news, daily weather updates, tips and advice with monthly charges of only Rs. 30.
On the other hand, a premium plan offers various benefits over the basic plan by providing news and weather updates as well as closest market prices of 3 crops chosen by the subscriber at a monthly cost of Rs. 60. Nokia Life Tools offers support in 11 Indian languages - English, Hindi, Oriya, Gujarati, Bengali, Marathi, Punjabi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
