Vodafone introduces Unlimited SMS offer in Mumbai

Vodafone Essar is India’s leading cellular services providers and its recent launch of Unlimited SMS offer pack comes as a new year gift to its customers.

As per the press release: Vodafone prepaid customers in Mumbai can now avail 500 free local or national SMS daily with a Bonus Card of Rs. 89 with a validity of 30 days. To activate the offer, prepaid customers can SMS ACT SMS89 to 144 (toll free) from their mobile phones. First SMS of the day will be charged at Re1 and thereafter the customer can send up to 499 SMS  free.

The Unlimited SMS plan for Vodafone postpaid customers in Mumbai allows 15,000 SMS anywhere in India per billing cycle for Rs. 149. Customers can SMS ACT SMS149 to 111 (toll free) from their Vodafone mobile phones to get this offer activated.

However, the Unlimited SMS offer plan further suggests that customers need to deactivate any existing SMS offer before activating this new SMS plan. Furthermore, the fine line suggests that these SMS offers may not be applicable on special days. The company intends a fair usage policy, for consumer use only, of 15000 SMS per month for postpaid customers and 500 SMS per day for prepaid customers.
