Vodafone's M-shop services will enable consumers in the Kerala region to recharge prepaid connections and pay postpaid bills.
Talking to the reporters, R. Suresh, chief operating officer of Vodafone Essar, Kerala, said that the IVR-based service is a first among telecom providers in the country. Both postpaid bill payments and recharge will be updated in the back-end systems almost real time. All prepaid and postpaid Vodafone subscribers can use this facility.
Vodafone subscribers can also recharge DTH subscriptions, buy cinema tickets, buy gifts, books and flowers through M-shop platform via Visa or MasterCard credit card. Also, Vodafone plans to enable debit cards, direct bank account debits and other payment options in the future.
