Popular for its stylish design of handsets, Fly phones provide an excellent and unique mobile experience to its users. The European mobile phone brand, Fly started its operation in India in the year 2003. The company has its offices in many countries Russia, France, Germany, UK, India, Ukraine and Nigeria.

One of the top mobile phone brands in Eastern Europe, the Fly Mobiles is also stretching its wings in other parts of the globe. In India, the company introduced its devices in the year 2005, since then it is doing well in the country. It has been positioned as a rising brand that has a strong commitment with differentiation.

The Fly Mobiles has always focused over three main things which are namely style, technology and functionality. And the latest Fly E140 touchscreen phone is testimony to that.

The European brand has now launched in Indian its latest creation, Fly E140 at a competitive price of Rs. 3,999 only. At this budget price, the new Fly mobile comes equipped with numerous exciting features to entertain its users. Let us walk through its components in detail ahead.

The key features of the Fly handset include dual SIM support, 7.1cm QVGA full touchscreen, a 1.3-megapixel camera, video record and play, Audio Player, FM radio with schedule recording, Bluetooth 2.0, 3.5mm jack, Motion Sensor, 900mAh battery, expandable memory up to 8GB and pre-installed Java.

The new Fly E140 is marvelously designed using a fair chunk of steel but less plastic. The front panel of the device has no physical keys made of rubber or plastic, which provides this device an elegant appearance. The mobile phone comes in the dimensions of 107x 57 x 11.3mm, which makes it really very handy and easy to grip.

The Fly phone is designed with large 7.1cm QVGA,TFT full touchscreen, which supports up to 262K colours. Its screen actually looks nice and displays clear view to the users. Watching videos and images on the device's screen is a real pleasure.

Moving ahead, we checked the device for its multimedia and audio/video features. The Fly E140 handset packs an Audio player, Video player and recorder, sound recorder and melody composer. The device offers an FM Radio with schedule recording feature. It provides decent audio and video quality and the multimedia rich device scores well on this front.

Additionally, there are some excellent photo editing features that lets you edit your images, as per your own requirement. This function is really very easy to use. Once you start working on your picture, you will find it really easy and exciting. Also, the device is pre-installed with some games for your entertainment, which keeps you busy during the leisure time.

There is a basic 1.3-megapixel camera fixed on the back panel of the Fly E140, which offers pretty clear images under good light condition. This camera also allows you to make videos and capture all your unforgettable moments.

Unfortunately, we found that its user interface is not that user friendly, To unlock the phone, a key appears over the screen that keeps on moving, which you are suppose to touch and drag on to the lock appearing on the mid-bottom of the screen. This key sometimes you may find difficult to drag and may irritate you. Though, sometimes it moves smoothly.

In this mobile phone, you get easy navigation to all the features. The home screen of the device has for icons that directly brings you to the options like menu, messages, contacts and the manual dialer. There are four different interfaces under menu that can be navigated conveniently dragging the four tabs provided at the bottom of the screen.

The first interface provides options like phonebook, messaging and some internet browser, etc. The second one shows you multimedia options, third one shows fun & games, tools and answer machine and others tools. Whereas the fourth one helps you manage your phone setup and other settings.

Then there is motion sensor feature that comes imbedded with the device. The Fly E140 provides motion sensor, which can be immediately noticed when you move the handset around while holding it. With movement of the phone, the wallpapers of the device keep on changing automatically.

The Fly device comes equipped with a 900mAh battery, which company boasts to offer a 9 hours long talk time and 300 hours long standby time. While using the phone when fully charged, the average lasting time of the battery while doing basic stuffs on the device was satisfactory.

Although, there are many entry-level device available in the market, but we must say that its price point, the Fly E140 is a nice touchscreen phone with decent features and elegant design.
