Reliance D530 specifications: India’s first fully loaded Android CDMA

Reliance Communications has launched its new handset, the D530 in collaboration with Coolpad. The handset apart from being India’s first fully loaded CDMA device also offers a money back plan that gives you back the value of the handset in 24 months.

Equipped with features such as an Android 2.1 Éclair OS and a 2-megapixel camera, the D530 targets the average Indian consumer who looks towards affordability and features in a mobile handset.

The D530 comes with 3.5-inch TFT touchscreen with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. The handset is designed to provide fast Internet access. It offers 3.1 Mbps CDMA speed support along with apps such as a GPPS browser, email, calendar and file browsing.

The D530 stands out in the budget smartphone industry with two new features – Wi-Fi hotspot and Incoming call firewall. The handset doubles up as a Wi-Fi router providing Internet access for multiple devices including itself.

The Incoming call firewall is a mobile Firewall equipped with security measures to protect your phone against malware and viruses.   

In addition to that, the handset offers predictive text input; call filters, wallpapers, games. It includes an MP3 player, FM radio and USB and PC Sync support.

Reliance was the first mobile network operator in India to launch its own mobile handsets. It has been selling CDMA handsets since 2002.

The Reliance D530 is available with a price tag of Rs. 7,999 at Reliance world and Reliance mobile outlets.
