The mobile phone market in Indian is booming, since last few years. The country is growing now at a much faster rate then ever before. A few years back having a mobile phone was considered as a status symbol in India. Whereas, now every other person own a handset and a lot of even juggle two at a time.

There are number of Indian mobile phone manufacturing brands present in the market now, who are performing well and giving stiff competition to various international brands like Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Samsung among others.

One of the trusted Indian mobile phone brand Zen, which entered the telecom industry in 2008 is one such player. Dealing in the entry level handsets market, Zen has created a niche for itself and continues to function well in the entry level handset market.

We had one of the recent phones from the Zen's stable in our office recently. Dubbed as Zen X414, this dual SIM entry level phone comes with a 40 days long battery backup at a price tag of Rs. 1799.

On the very first look you will find the mobile phone, a little unusually bigger as compared to the phones floating around. While the phone sports quite a classic look, the company has bought in some new technology- a amazing battery back up to 40 days. We couldn't put the phone for test for 40 days but we did give it a trial run.

To our surprise, the phone didnot dissapoint us. We charged it for half an hour and were able to go charger free for 3 days in a row. At the end of the third day there was still enough to go through another two days.

If we talk about its form factor then the new Zen phone has a candy bar shape and is built of plastic. The phone is quite strong and sturdy, perfect to tag along on long journeys, rugged trekking trips, but keep it hidden if you are planning to go out for a social obligation.
