Flipkart teases Moto X India launch; set to arrive in five colors and two wood-back versions

After the successful launch of Moto G in India, Motorola is hoping to recreate the success with the introduction of its next Android smartphone - Moto X.

With the online strategy with Flipkart proven to be a success, the company has been roped in again for selling the Moto X in India. The Indian retailer was spotted teasing the arrival of the device in India via its twitter page.

The retailer also disclosed that apart from the five colour options (Black, white, royal blue, cherry, turquoise), two wood-back variants (teak and walnut) of Moto X will also be available for Indian consumers.

While there is still no official word on the launch date or the official pricing, given its spec sheet we can expect the device to retail somewhere between Rs 23,999 - Rs 25,999.

Launched in US, last year, the Moto X is quite a device to take in. Featuring Motorola’s X8 mobile computing platform, the device comes fitted with a 4.7-inch 720p HD display which has been made to look bigger with its thin bezels.

It is powered by Android 4.4 Kitkat OS, a dual-core 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, an Adreno 320 quad-core GPU with a 2GB RAM to bring speed and efficiency to the device.

The device also boast of a 10-megapixel rear camera, 2200 mAh battery, 16GB of internal storage, NFC, along with a host of nifty customisations like Active Display, Touchless control, Motorola Connect, Migrate, Quick Capture, and Assist.

While it may have taken Moto X quite a while to reach us, the 'build your own' handset is definitely worth the wait.

As for Motorola, Moto X might just be the second big win for the company in the country.

whats its cost in india

Darshan Jain, it is not yet known but if history is anything to go by, it is likely to be priced a little higher in India than it is the States. A soon as we know when the phone will come to India and how much it will cost, we will report it.

These many quantities were IMPORTED by Flipkart and are in stock for immediate shipment.

It did, but its back now!

Yeah, I noticed. However I was researching for one of my friends. Already ordered. I would take a while for me to hijack it, and load some custom ROM, just for the heck of it though ;). I saw a lot of very interesting custom ROMs in XDA recently. Have not touched an android custom ROM ever since I got rid of my old LG Optimus 2X though.

Welcome back, pseudo-geek days... :-D
