Nokia announces a new touch screen handset Nokia 500, running Symbian Anna OS

Nokia has recently revealed its latest creation for the mid-range mobile users, named as Nokia 500. This is a full touch screen mobile phone with 1GHz processor.

The deice runs new Symbian Anna OS, is one of the lightest Symbian Anna running handsets with just 93 grams of weight. The company has introduced this handset with six different colours options. The new Nokia 500 will hit the markets later this year at cost of 150 Euros (Rs. 9,456 approx.), before taxes and subsidies. There is no word from the company on its launch in India as of now.

With Nokia 500 the company is focusing over mid-range mobile phone users, who can now have a Symbian Anna OS based handset at affordable price. Embedded with a 1Ghz ARM powerful processor, the Nokia 500 offers 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 640x360 pixel resolution. This is an excellent gift from Nokia to all those who were looking for a budget touchscreen handset with advanced features.

The new Nokia 500 sports a capable 5-megapixel camera on the back, to capture clear pictures and videos. The 3G enabled phone comes preloaded with Nokia Maps with free walk as well as navigation features on its 2GB on-board memory. The touch screen phone is capable to support up to 32 GB memory external card.

Nokia has provided a 1110 mAh Li-Ion battery to this handset that offers up to 7 hours of talk time on the GSM network (2G), while it delivers up to 5 hours of talk time on the WCDMA (3G) Network.
Over all the new mid-range phone from the Nokia seems to be a good device, lets see when it actually comes out in the market.
