Symbian Belle powered Nokia N8 appears online

A video unveiling Nokia’s upcoming Symbian Belle operating system has leaked online, before its official launch. Belle is the update, which will definitely succeed Anna.

Symbian Anna was just launched a few months back and this leaked video proves that Nokia is still committed to its Symbian platform, at least as of now. The company is really doing some good innovations to the platform, which are clearly visible in the leaked Nokia N8 featuring Symbian Belle OS video.

Actually, when we saw the video our first impression was that Belle seems quite alike Meego – there we found round icons, for starters, and the new UI design is quite similar to what you can see inside the Nokia N9.

According to Engadget ‘The video exhibits several aspects of the new UI such as the Android-style pull-down bar for notifications, a back button-based interface, a new virtual keyboard, and a new camera UI.’

We would say that this updated Symbian UI is looking fabulous and interesting too. We found the new avatar of the MeeGo-esque icons amazing, the dropdown notifications system is also appearing great. The same way its updated virtual keyboard and camera UI are also marvelous.

It has been a long time we have found something great that Nokia has done with Symbian platform, but this time it has done actually good job. Its really something Symbian was required since long time for a fresh and exciting look.

We hope it would do some wonders for Nokia, which is loosing its market share in the global market at a faster rate.
