For a phone manufacturer, it is necessary to continually revamp oneself to stay in the market. On that count, mobile phones have begun experimenting with a unique technology - the 3D display technology.

After pixelated and retina display, 3D is being considered the next best thing in the IT market. 3D refers to enhanced display using APB technology. It provides real-life resolution that can make one fall in love with a digital device.

3D is not a new concept. It has just begun generating heat now. Some 3D phones have already released while others are underway.

We provide you a sneak peek into some of these phones:

1. Sharp Aquos SH-12C - Sharp was the first company to make a foray into the 3D phone industry. Its latest 3D installment is called the Aquos SH-12C. This phone offers 4.2-inch qHD- glasses free LCD with an exciting resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. It is equipped with twin 8MP cameras with flash and auto focus.

The phone is renowned for its spectacular display, excellent colors, 3D videography at 2 mega-pixel and much more. It is looked up to by other 3D phones.

2. HTC Evo 3D - The HTC Evo 3D is one of the world's most popular 3D phones and acts as an excellent smartphone.

The major selling pointy of this phone is that it gives a user the opportunity to create and view 3D videos with its twin 5MP cameras and 4.3" qHD screen. The phone is exclusively available on the Sprint network.

3. LG Optimus 3D - As the name suggests, this phone is the 3D version of the popular LG smartphone, the Optimus. It is known as the world's first full 3D phone. The phone is equipped with twin 5MP cameras that allow you to record 720p 3D videos. It also has a 1.3 mega-pixel front camera that can be used for video calling.

4. Spice Mobility - View D - Spice has provided us with yet another innovative phone in the form of the View D. It stands out as the cheapest 3D phone in the world.

Users can view 3D content on its 2.4" 3D display and even toggle between 2D and 3D.

5. Sharp Galapagos 005SH - Sharp released this phone in the Japanese market in late 2010.

This phone featured an exciting 3.8" display with an 800 x 480 resolution. It came with a bombastic 8 mega-pixel display.
 
6.  Sharp Galapagos 003SH - This phone was a sibling of the 005SH. The only difference between both of them was that was equipped with a 9.6 MP camera.

The 003SH also came with a bundle of 3D flicks such as Resident Evil and Mega Man.

7. Motorola MING 810 - This phone was jointly launched with China mobiles and was headed to Asian markets such as Hong Kong.

It came with a 3.2-inch, 720 x 480 MP display and played 720p HD videos. It was one of the first phones that attempted to play HD TV by providing access to China's CMMB mobile TV.

8. Samsung AMOLED 3D - Also known as the W960, this phone featured HSDPA and had a 3.2", 240 x 400 MP display.

As the name suggests, it had an AMOLED 3D capacitive touchscreen and was equipped with a 3.2 mega-pixel camera.

9. Hitachi WOOO Ketai - This phone was released in early 2009. It featured sliding 3.1" display with 845 x 480 MP resolution. It also has a 5 mega-pixel camera.

10. Sharp Mova SH251iS - This was the world's first 3D phone. It was released as far back as 2002. It featured a 2.2” 3D screen with LCD and 3D function. It was equipped with a CCD camera that is now obsolete.
