By the end of 2016 Apple products will be running on uniform OS platform

Apple is planning to merge its iOS and OS X into one unified platform. Most probably, this will be done by the end of the 2012. According to the latest information received via Peter Misek with Jefferies & co. Apple will take up this step with the launch of its next MacBookAir, which may contain next generation A6 processor.
Afterwards, this A6 processor will be carried in all other Apple’s devices like the iPod, and iPad. The A6 processor will increase the strength of the MacBookAir like the MacBook Pro and Mac’s Desktop. But still according to the Wall Street Analyst, Apple will remain stick to the Intel processors for its big computers and will use only OS X.
If Apple has to move on to a unified platform and wants to merge the iOS and OS X then it is essential for the Apple to move on to the ARM-based processors, which are found in the iPhone and iPad. And, if Apple moves to the ARM-based processor then by 2016, it might be possible that iOS and OS X will merge into one uniform platform.
Merging of these two platforms will help users to get access to more content and optimize on wide range of devices. And, if the company will not proceed in this way then it would be difficult for Apple to work on two different platforms.
Lots of rumours are circulated on the web about the Apple’s transition from A5 processor to the ARM-processors. Even besides the rumours we have noticed many other fact as well which proves that Apple is thinking in this direction. For instance, the design of lighter-thinner MacBook Air is taken from its extremely popular iPad tablet. And Apple’s latest OS X 10.1 Lion’s features was also first introduced on the iPad and iPhone, but the point here is can these tablets really really replace the apple desktops and other MacBook Pro type laptop, probably no.
