Samsung plans to launch Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 8.9 in India on August 10

Samsung is launching its two new tablets in Indian market, Galaxy tab 10.1 and 8.9. The event recently happened in Delhi was not ment for this launch, it was just a try to create a buzz in the market. The actual launch will be planned soon, according to a Samsung Spokesperson.

These tablets are very important for Samsung and the company is trying to do the best with these tablets in the market. The actual price of these tablets is not yet revealed for the Indian users.

But, it is sure that these two new devices are coming to give a stiff competition to Apple iPad2 and other popular tablets. The prices of these tablets are not yet known but we can speculate it considering its price in the international market, which is around the cost of iPad2, i.e. Rs. 32,000 to 42,000. This tablet has already been launched in countries and it is really doing a well there. But, we have to wait and watch how it performs in the Indian market.

It will enter the Indian market with the Android 3.0 Honeycomb, while other countries where it has already been lanched it can get the updates for 3.1 Honeycomb version. Samsung has announced over the air TouchWiz UI, through which you can upgrade your tablet. Samsung has developed various enterprise-centric features, new apps and addition of swype. But all these features will come pre-installed with the devices shipped to India.

Besides, these tablets have Flash support, HTML web rendering abilities, better power management, and a neater user interface. Both of these tablets are equipped with the Nvidia’s dual core Tegra 2 processor clocked at 1Ghz and DDR2 RAM. Both are 3G devices. These tablets have gyroscope and accelerometer and it will really improve its graphics, which will give us a new gaming experience. The Galaxy Tab 10.1 will be available in 32GB and 64 GB variants.
