Huawei unveils Ideos X3 smartphone powered by the latest Android 2.3 OS

Huawei has launched another budget smartphone - the Ideos X3. The phone's USP is its operating system. This phone runs on the latest version of Android - the Gingerbread OS. In addition to that, the phone is 3G capable and is equipped with features such as Wi-Fi 802.11and Wi-Fi hotspot to make browsing fast and convenient.
Announced in February this year at the MWC, Barcelona, Huawei Ideos X3, sports a 3.2-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. In addition to the touchscreen, this phone is equipped with three physical buttons. It also has a Qualcomm MSM7227 600 MHz processor and a 3.2-megapixel primary and a VGA secondary camera.
Huawei has announced on its Facebook page that its Android Gingerbread powered smartphone will release soon. Packed with a 1200 mAh battery and numerous Android apps, the phone comes equipped with features such as an accelerometer and touch sensitive controls.
In addition it has features such as a document viewer, photo editor and Adobe Flash 10.1.
Recently, Huawei launched several new smartphones. These include the Ideos X2, Ideos X5 and the Ideos chat. The X5 is a mid-range smartphone with features such as a 3.8-inch touchscreen and a 5-megapixel camera. The X2 on the other hand is a Froyo phone with a 3.2-megapixel camera and FM player, while Ideos Chat is a social networking phone that comes with a QWERTY keypad and Android functionality.
The Huawei X3 competes with handsets such as the Spice Mi-410 and the Micromax A70 in the budget smartphone category. Huawei has also launched an online contest where if you like their Facebook page you can win an Ideos X5.
