Nokia's update to its yet to be released Symbian Anna OS - the Symbian Belle for its N8 handset has been leaked. N8 users can now download Symbian Belle OS by using a third-party software. Users need to be cautious while downloading this update as it comes through a post thread and is not a official download available from Nokia.
The Symbian belle OS has been susceptible to leaks since it was revealed that Nokia was working on an update to Symbian Anna OS. Just last month, 4 Nokia phones running on the Symbian Belle OS were revealed. These were Nokia Zeta, Helen, Cindy, and Fate.
We featured an exclusive leak on the Symbian Belle OS running Nokia Zeta. Just two weeks back, a full 8-minute video of a Symbian Belle OS powered Nokia N8 was leaked online. Now, the software itself has been finally leaked altogether.
So, what does Symbian Belle has to offer?
Symbian Belle OS is one of the most important Symbian updates as it boasts of numerous improvements over its predecessors.
The Symbian Belle OS is expected to come with Android style drop-down notifications. It would provide small dialogue boxes that would facilitate easy multi-tasking.
The open applications on the Symbian Belle OS would be called "living" and featured in system tray above the homescreen. Nokia would provide a new tool known as "Task Switcher". This tool would enable the consumer to easily hop between applications and close them down. The downloaded version features only in two languages - English and Arabic.
The official version of the Symbian Belle OS is touted to offer a new version of the Nokia Ovi store which would be similar to an Android appstore or an Apple appstore.
Nokia needs to come out with the official version of the Symbian Belle OS soon as it is competing with worthy market rivals such as Apple's iOS and Google's Android Ice Cream Sandwich.
