A study has revealed that 13 per cent mobile phone users, when get bored or tired of boring conversations of the people around them, they activate fake call and pretend as if they are talking to someone, however they are not.
The number goes high around 30 per cent for people in the age group of 18 to 29 years. Whereas, the number slips down to six per cent when we talk about handset users of 50 to 64 years old. People who use fake calls mostly are in the age bracket of 30 to 49 years.
Even one among five of smartphone owners admitted that they do make phony calls. Further, 42 per cent mobile phone users consider their phone as an entertainer, while around 40 percent people believe they are life savers sometimes, as the device helped them in emergencies.
A survey conducted by Pew Research Center's Internet and American Life Project, for which they interviewed 2,277 Americans. As per the survey report, 73 per cent are using their handsets to send text messages or clicking images. Besides, around 44 per cent of mobile phone users using the device to surf Internet.
The survey also revealed that 16 per cent of the mobile users are facing difficulties in reading texts on their phones, due to their small screens. While 10 per cent of them find entering too much of text on their device irritating.
