Rumours are circulating that the Google Nexus Prime is set to arrive in October this year. The most interesting part is, it will be featuring Android's latest operating system Ice Cream Sandwich.
According to a report from Korean website Electronic Times, the mobile phone is expected to be designed by Samsung, running Android 4.0 and sports a powerful dual-core 1.5GHz processor and an attractive Super AMOLED HD display with 720 pixel support. These details about the Google's upcoming smartphone, Nexus Prime are supporting the reports initially leaked by an online website BGR a few weeks back.
It has been rumoured for a long time that Samsung is the most preferred mobile phone manufacturer for the Nexus Prime, and this news further seems to substantiate the claims.
Samsung is likely to reveal some new gadgets with 720p HD screens in next month, may be at IFA. Apart from this, an unannounced Samsung Celox recently appeared, which has almost identical specifications. Celox has a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, a powerful dual-core 1.5GHz processor, 16GB of memory space, a capable 8-megapixel camera and also a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
Samsung's Galaxy S II was recently launched in India and sales are proving strong, as expected. Samsung sold 3 million Galaxy S II smartphones within 55 days of its global launch. Now with the Nexus Prime, Samsung might be planning to step ahead its own earlier records.
