Sony Ericsson has announced that it is coming out with a collection of 150 new games for its popular gaming phone, Xperia Play.
At its Gamescom event in Germany the company showcased its latest titles from Gameloft and EA which included Need for Speed, Hot Pursuit and Dead Space. In addition it also included Android Polar bit's driving game - Reckless Getaway.
Tim Harrison, head of content and marketing strategy, Sony Ericsson stated, "With new games coming to the ecosystem on a daily basis, Xperia Play is redefining smartphone gaming. Xperia Play is in a whole new category, a unique platform that allows major publishers and independent studios alike to push the boundaries of smartphone gaming and reach new audiences".
Android titles revealed during the event comprise of FIFA12 by EA, Tanks, Reckless Racing 2 and Reckless Getaway by Polarbit, Let's Golf 3 by Gameloft, Guns & Glory WW2, Townsmen 6 and Clouds and Sheep by HandyGame among others. These games will be available shortly to the Xperia Play users at Android market.
Sony Ericsson has also introduced a new function for the Xperia Play that lets users recommend games to their friends through Facebook inside Xperia. With this users can now share their top scores or favourite gaming moments, by uploading a screenshot from the game instantly to their Facebook account.
