Samsung's leaked roadmap reveals arrival of Bada 2.0, Windows Phone 7 Mango and Android Ice Cream Sandwich devices this year

Published on Aug 19, 2011

If you thought Samsung Galaxy SII was the best that Samsung had to offer this year, think again. Not contended with the mega success of the Galaxy SII device, Samsung is back behind the table, preparing for the launch of its 11 more innovative products for 2011.

According to Into Mobile's leaked Samsung roadmap, the company is expected to bring mobile users a Windows Phone 7 Mango, two tablets and a Android Ice Cream Sandwich device which is widely speculated to be Google’s Nexus Prime.

In addition to the high end smartphones, Samsung is also covering its other market segments - low and mid level to penetrate the budget mobile users.

Wondering what Samsung has in store for you? The official breakdown of the roadmap according, thanks to Into Mobile:

GT-B5510 (W41) – This Android 2.2 Froyo-toting handset will ship with a  2.8-inch display, 800Mhz processor, QWERTY keyboard, 3 megapixel camera, FM radio, and WiFi.

GT-S5360 (W42) – A similar handset to the one above, this model will ship with a 3 inch display (320 x 240), 2 megapixel camera, and Android Gingerbread.

    GT-S5610 (W42) – Another Gingerbread-packing Android phone with a tiny 2.4 inch screen (320 240), 5 megapixel shooter, 150MB internal memory, and HSDPA support.

GT-I8150 (W40) – This handset features Android Gingerbread, a 3.7 inch display (480 x 800), 1.4 GHz processor, 4GB memory, microSD card slot, 5-megapixel camera with 720p HD video capture, Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi, DLNA, GPS, and FM Radio.

GT-I9210 (W48) - This handset is a 4.5 inch (480 x 800)  Super AMOLED beast will support 4G, along with EDGE, GPRS, UMTS. The handset comes with a 8-megapixel camera with LED Flash, 2- megapixel front-facing camera, 1750 mAh battery, and the expected GPS, Bluetooth, and WiFi.

GT-I9220 (W43) – The handset runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwhich and sports a monster 4.65inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 720, meaning this may well be Samsung’s new Super AMOLED HD display we’ve been hearing about. The handset should also ship with a 5 megapixel camera, which makes us believe that this may indeed be the Nexus Prime. We’ll have to wait and find out, though.

P6200 (W44) & P6210 - This pair of Android Honeycomb tablet differ only in the connectivity options, in that one supports 3G/HSDPA, and one supports only WiFi. Both said to sport 7-inch Super AMOLED displays with resolutions of 1024 x 600, 3 megapixel camera on the back, and 2 megapixel camera on the front for video chat. This is likely the 7 inch Tab refresh we’ve been hearing about but previously we had heard that it wouldn’t ship with Honeycomb.

GT-S5380 (W47) - Details are few, but this handset is said to run Bada 2.0, 3.2 inch display, 2 megapixel camera, and Bluetooth 3.0

GT-S8600 (W47) – This Bada 2.0 handset will ship with a 4 inch Super AMOLED display, 5 megapixel camera, 3GB of internal memory and Bluetooth 3.0

GT-S7250 Wave M – This obvious Wave successor is said to have a 3.5 HVGA display, NFC support, and Bluetooth 3.0

GT-i8350 Omnia W – Finally we have our first and only Windows Phone on the list. Expected to debut sometime in October, the Omnia W is said to sport a 1GHz processor, 3.7 inch display, 5 megapixel camera, WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth.

We had recently reported that industry insiders expect Samsung to release big screen smartphones using the Super AMOLED HD displays. This would mean that mobile users can expect 5-6’’ phones this fall.

According to various rumours the first phone to carry the Super AMOLED HD display will be the GT-I9220 with a 5.3’’ screen and the Nexus Prime.
