Apple without Jobs: Couldn’t be better?

Well, early today CEO of Apple, Steve Jobs resigned from office as CEO and recommended Tim Cook as his successor. Steve Jobs has held the company together since quite some time and his departure as CEO could be troubling to some.
But given Cook’s experience and the charisma with which he ran the company when Jobs was on leave in 2009 led to a lot of praise. But Steve Jobs’ resignation doesn’t mean that he is out of the company, he has been named the chairman of the Board of Directors, director and will serve as an Apple employee.
Reasons for the resignation are still unknown, but we believe it’s mainly due to his ill health which made him go on a leave since January this year.
We believe that Apple still has a lot to offer in its bag than we can imagine, hence Jobs’ exit as the CEO barely means anything. But nonetheless, the impact could be felt on Apple stocks in the coming days.
In fact, Apple’s shares have already fallen by 5% since the announcement which indicates that the company might struggle in the coming days. But this should be merely considered as a minor hiccup and under Tim Cook’s assistance the company could go a long way.
With major announcement like the iPhone 5/4S and the iPad 3 in the horizon, the company will have no time to waste.
Art Levinson, Board Member of Apple said- “Steve's extraordinary vision and leadership saved Apple and guided it to its position as the world's most innovative and valuable technology company”.
He further went on to say that Jobs will still provide insights and creative ideas to the company which is great news for Apple. The first few days as the CEO will be tough for Cook, but he has taken up the CEO position during Jobs’ absence a couple of times in the past so it shouldn’t be hard after all.
