Apple is not going to change: Tim Cook emails Apple employees

After Steve Jobs’ resignation yesterday, an internal email from Apple’s new CEO Tim Cook to Apple employees has been leaked. Cook has reassured Apple employees of maintaining the status quo post Steve Jobs and that there would be no major change of strategy with Apple as such.

According to the leaked Apple email from Arstechnica, Tim Cook was quoted as saying, “I want you to be confident that Apple is not going to change. I cherish and celebrate Apple's unique principles and values.

Steve built a company and culture that is unlike any other in the world and we are going to stay true to that—it is in our DNA. We are going to continue to make the best products in the world that delight our customers and make our employees incredibly proud of what they do.”

Tim Cook’s predecessor, Steve Jobs was considered the driving force behind Apple’s success. Under him, Apple transformed into the world’s biggest IT company. Jobs was known for revolutionizing the IT scene right from the first Mac, to the iPod, the iPhone, the iPad and iOS. He has now passed on the baton to Tim Cook, Apple’s Chief Operating Officer for 13 years.

With Tim Cook, Apple seems to be in safe and able hands. He brings along a great amount of charisma and caliber. This is not the first time Tim has been handed over the reigns of Apple. He handled the day-to-day affairs of the company while Jobs was on leave in 2009. Not only that, even Jobs would be present at Apple as the Chairman of the board of directors, director and as an Apple employee.

Next to Jobs himself, Cook seems to be the most suitable man in line for handling the position of Apple’s CEO. With prior experience on his hands and a reassurance that ‘Apple is not going to change’, we expect that Apple will continue delighting us under Cook’s reign as the CEO.
