Samsung Galaxy S II LTE coming with upgraded specs

Published on Aug 28, 2011

Samsung’s Galaxy S II has long been sited as the company’s best invention. But the best seems to have become even better with some mind blowing upgrades, all of which will be unveiled in the coming week and be available to users in the near future.

The upgraded Samsung Galaxy S II is coming with LTE (Long Term Evolution) and is the world’s first LTE/WCDMA/GSM multi-mode phone. This itself has smartphone enthusiasts excited; the S II is now truly a global smartphone. The device will include a 4.5" Super AMOLED Plus display which promises the sharpest and brightest resolution ever. Internet browsing, gaming and photography are going to be even more enjoyable than before.

A 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and a 1850mAh battery make the Galaxy S II a powerful device. Hopefully, the battery will be able to support the phone’s sophisticated apps seamlessly and will not run out quickly, a problem that is often faced by most smartphone users across platforms. Some of the most exciting applications on the S II include an 8-megapixel camera and NFC support.

Even the design of the new phone is tweaked a bit. Remember the textured battery cover of the original Galaxy S II? It now has a brushed metal finish.

Apart from these changes, the S II will offer all the other amazing features we have talked about so often. The timing couldn’t be better either, with the rumored release of the iPhone 5 just around the corner.

The IFA trade show next week is sure to have plenty of other goodies on offer as well. We will be bringing you all the smartphone news, as it breaks in Berlin!
