Chinese website XDA.cn has got hold of a video demonstrating Sense 3.5 on HTC Bliss. Even though the video is not very clear, it does give viewers an idea of the upgrades HTC is offering with Sense 3.5.

Sense 3.5 looks like a polished, refined and completed version of Sense 3.0. 3D animations and transitions on screen are fluid and quick. The new interface looks uncluttered and organized, even with a number of new widgets. The bottom bar found in the 3.0 version of Sense is gone, giving way to the minimalist, functional feel of version 3.5.

The new widgets on Sense 3.5 can have different sizes, so users can maximize the size of the widgets they commonly use and tone down the ones they don’t require that often. What’s great about Sense 3.5 is the fact that it can be released for older HTC phones as well. This is great news for owners of older HTC phones who were looking to upgrade the interface but who don’t necessarily want to go in for a brand new phone.

According to the demo, the lock screen running on Sense 3.5 features the lock ring and the shortcut icons for most frequently used favourite apps, something it does on Sense 3.0 too. The updated lock screen will now show certain notifications too, like those for the weather.

The lower part of the phone’s screen now showcases two icons, one for the application list and the other for the phone functions. Sense 3.5 has done away with the three-button launcher bar at the bottom of the home screen. Users can now add and remove home screens whenever they want and they can delete the contents of a screen by dragging it to the trash. Volume can also be controlled on-screen, through a widget.

The new Sense 3.5 seems to be doing a lot for HTC. The Taiwanese manufacturer might just have some more surprises in store for us when HTC Bliss and HTC Sense 3.5 are formally launched next month.
