LG releases White version of its Optimus Black smartphone in India for Rs. 19,599

LG has released a White Optimus Black in India at a price of Rs. 19,599. The handset can be ordered from LG’s website and the handset manufacturer promises to deliver it within 6 working days.
This Optimus Black is a 9.2 mm thick phone weighing around 109g. It is currently one of the slimmest Android smartphones in the world. Aside from that, it is equipped with a 4-inch IPS LCD multi-touchscreen NOVA display that is supposed to be one the world’s best smartphone screens.
Along with that, it is equipped with LG’s own Optimus UI 2.0 and Gesture 2.0 that lets the user control the phone using motion gestures and the dedicated G button on the handset.
Furthermore, it runs on a 1 GHz ARM processor along with 512 MB RAM. The phone runs on Android 2.2 – Froyo OS that is upgradeable to Android 2.3 – Gingerbread OS. In addition to numerous Android apps, the phone comes pre-loaded with features such as the voice guided GPS. It offers Wi-Fi 802.1.1 and Bluetooth 3.0 for browsing and sharing.
The handset comes with a 5-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel one for video calling. It comes with a 2GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 32 GB. The powerhouse of the phone lies in its 1500 mAh battery.
The White Optimus Black does not differ much from the original Optimus Black handset except its color.
The handset competes with the likes of the iPhone 3GS and Samsung Galaxy S. At a price of Rs. 19,599, the White Optimus Black is aimed at those who have a penchant for the white color.
