Samsung launches Galaxy Tab 7.7 at IFA

One of the globally renowned brand name, Samsung announced its new tablet Galaxy Tab 7.7 and revealed its first official pictures at IFA 2011.

The latest device sports a  different look in comparison to other Galaxy tabs.  A brushed metal back cover, the device sports an attractive 7.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus display screen with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. The Samsung tablet's display provides excellent view with vibrant colors.

It is equipped with a powerful dual core 1.4 GHz processor, due to which it is faster in performance and can play back 1080p videos. When it comes to software, the new Samsung Galaxy 7.7 Tab runs on Android Honeycomb 3.2 version and includes TouchWiz UX flavor. It comes embedded with HSPA+ connectivity and supports a 21Mbps downstream capacity.

The Galaxy tablet will be released in four different variants, based on their on-board storage space that is ranging from 16GB to 64GB. The device also provides option to enhance its memory through an SD card up to 32GB.

The newly unveiled Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 embeds a strong 5100mAh battery that is capable of rendering up to 10 hours of non-stop video playback. Moreover, the device includes a 3-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera that is suitable for video calls.

Galaxy Tab 7.7 is expected to be released by Q4 this year. The company has not yet disclosed the price of the device.
