Olive has made slight changes to its design as well. For instance, Olive Pad 2 is even lighter and slimmer than the previous model. It has a croc leather finish at the back to give it a more polished look. In an interview with Mobile Indian, Arun Khanna, chairman, Olive Telecom, said, “we will be focusing only on Android smartphones and tablets going forward."
He also revealed that the company is working on strengthening the distribution network to facilitate the availability of the Olive tablet so that it is easily accessible to the users. In this version, the Olive Pad 2 will not be required to use the dongle to connect to the 3G network thanks to its in built modem.
Though much information is not available about the tablet such as to what would be the screen resolution, camera pixels, support for video calling among others.
The price of this device is not yet known, however we won't be surprised to find it priced well within the 10k- 12k range to compete with other low-end tablets that have been launched recently in the market.
