Samsung pull out its 7.7 tablet from IFA

Following the Dusseldorf court’s verdict, Samsung cannot showcase its 7.7inch tablet at IFA, Berlin. Apple sued Samsung for deliberately copying the design of iPad and using in its 7.7 inch tablet. This has come as a humiliating blow for Samsung. But the Korean giant has respectfully accepted the court’s verdict.
This will sale of Samsung's 7.7 inch Super AMOLED Plus screen tablet in European nations and obviously eat up all the estimated profits of Samsung. "The product is not on sale yet but we've decided to respect the court order," Samsung spokesman James Chung said.
Even though the legal controversy has brewed over the product, the Samsung 7.7inch tablet seemed a promising venture. For the first time ever a tablet has come up with a Super AMOLED Plus screen. This technology was earlier used in Galaxy S2.
This device runs on Android, Honeycomb with a new innovative zoom mode. Samsung also added TouchWiz Interface which includes a clipboard feature, in addition to containing a ‘Mini Apps’ tray that will help users to load their most commonly used apps effortlessly.
Encompassing a 1280x 800 pixel screen resolution that makes the display of tablet lucid and sharp, the device straps in a 3-megapixel camera at the rear and 2-megapixel in the front.
Samsung says, the tablet is quite capable of handling 1080p HD video playback. It also claims up to 10hours of video playback. The company has plans to make 7.7inch tablet available with plenty of connectivity options- like 3G- based HSPA and “4G” LTE options.
The Korean company claims to have faster download speeds than the current third generation platform, allowing users easy access to TV programs, movies and video conferencing. The device comes with a 1.4GHz dual core processor and weighs 335gms.
The Tablet has 8GB of DDR2 RAM that supports the processor. There are also plenty of options for internal storage with 16GB, 32GB and 64GB available. External storage is in abundance with microSD support up to 32GB.
Samsung tablet also comes pre-loadeded with the Samsung game hub, readers hub, music hub and social hub.
With all these distinctive features Samsung was due to draw its image as Apple’s rival but Apple score the crucial point over Samsung even before the game started.
According to Reuters report, ‘Samsung and Apple have been locked in acrimonious battle over smartphones and tablets patents since April as Apple seeks to rein in the growth of Google's Android phones by taking directly aim at the biggest Android vendor, Samsung.’
