The Motorola Droid Bionic is in the news again. A fella going by the codename bworly65 has leaked a hands-on video featuring the handset being unboxed and its many apps being used online.
The video, titled apps, etc. shows the device’s slidelock and its diverse settings feature offering every detail of the device from its Android version to its SIM ID.
In addition to that, the leaked device gave a detailed overview of the battery usage of different applications entailing that with this handset; you would have the option to switch off selective applications in case you are running short on battery.
Furthermore, the video informs that the device’s internal memory is around 8 GB along with a 16 GB MicroSD card. It also points towards reasonably fast browsing speed that is expected since the device is touted to be 4G-capable.
The leaked device probably runs on Verizon’s 4G LTE network as Verizon has already been chosen as a carrier for the Motorola Droid Bionic. The Droid Bionic is a handset that everyone is waiting for. It is being seen as Motorola’s answer to the Apple iPhone and the Samsung Galaxy S II. It was launched at the CES 2011in Las Vegas.
According to the CES launch, the device would feature a 4.5-inch qHD screen. It would be the world’s first dual-core smartphone featuring a NVIDIA TEGRA 2-1 GHz processor, an 8 MP LED Flash camera, and 512 MB RAM. Looking at the handset in the video, most of the rumors about the Motorola Droid Bionic have turned out to be true. These include WebTop connectivity and a full Firefox browser.
One leak the video couldn’t attest to was the Droid Bionic’s battery. According to rumors, the handset is touted to run on a 1900 mAh battery – one of the most powerful smartphone batteries ever.
Motorola’s CEO Sanjay Jha has already announced that the device would release this month. Bestbuy has enlisted its price as $299.99. Its Indian release date and price are not yet known.
