iBall forays into the tablet market with iBall Slide

iBall has unveiled a Android tablet dubbed as iBall Slide in India. Priced at Rs. 13,995, the comapny has roped popular Indian actor Hrithik Roshan as its brand ambassador.
Speaking at the event, Sandeep Parasrampuria, director, iBall said, "the world-wide market is phenomenally rising for Tablet PCs and is expected to reach 175 million units by 2014. iBall Slide is power packed with technology and features and we are sure iBall Slide will make the Indian consumer enjoy the ride."
iBall Slide includes a powerful 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor. The 7-inch tablet offers a capacitive touchscreen and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. The device comes with an internal memory of 8 GB that can be enhanced up to 32GB, using an external memory card.
The iBall tablet embeds all the excellent connectivity options like 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth. Besides, it also includes a USB host and on-the-go port that let the users transfer data through even a pen drive. In-fact you can also connect it to a keyboard or a mouse, using its USB port.
Slide tablet has 4400 mAh lithium-ion-battery, which renders up to 6.5 hours of music and 5 hours of video. The iBall Slide sports a 2-megapixel front camera in addition to a HDMI output that offers HD quality videos and 3D games.
One of the most interesting features of iBall Slide is that, it is preloaded with "Documents to go", which assists users while working on MS Word, MS excel, MS PowerPoint and PDF attachments.
The iBall tablet will soon be released all across India and will be available at all the leading stores in the country.
