Even as Google, Apple and Samsung hog limelight for various reasons, LG has been quietly working its way up in the ladder. It became evident recently when the new LG Android QWERTY slider Optimus Note was spotted on a South Korean blog. However, no official word on its global launch date has arrived from LG's side. Apparently, the handset is coming on U plus in the South Korea.
Interestingly, one of the noticeable things about LG Optimus Note is its striking display. The mobile device features a 4-inch NOVA display that adds to its overall appearance.
Further, it is powered by 1.2 Ghz nVIDIA Tegra 2 processor which is another good reason to buy it if it is made available in international market in the near future. Speaking of memory department, LG Optimus Note comes with a 8 GB of internal memory.
Incorporated with Android 2.3 OS, the device also has a 5 mega pixel built-in camera. The phone also offers a front VGA camera for video calling.
However, by any stretch of imagination, it is not an Android superphone as it is being projected. Still, it will appeal to prospective buyers, as it is definitely a high-end model for qwerty admirers.
It is to be noted that LG is one of the few major mobile manufacturing brands in the world today that hasn’t forayed into tablet market yet. Instead, it has opted to strengthen its smartphone portfolio.
Already a recognized name in global home appliances industry, LG is yet to earn the same recognition in the mobile phone/smartphone space unlike Samsung. However, it does have a strong presence in Asian markets where global giants like Apple are still struggling to find feet.
