A Chinese conglomerate Shenzhen Sang Fei Consumer Communications, is planning to launch a range of smartphones in India.
The company had taken over Philips's mobile phone business five years back and plans to enter in Indian smartphone market with Philips branding.
According to itproportal news story, the top of the array handset of the brand will be X9320 which is touted to be a strong competitor to the Samsung Galaxy S series and the much awaited Apple iPhone 5.
The specs for Philips X9320 suggests that it will be sporting a 4.3-inch capacitive touchscreen and Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.
In addition, it will be including dual cameras and provide support for two SIM cards, as it will be a dual SIM phone.
The rumoured mobile phone is also speculated to have Philips' Xenium technology that would result in better stand by and talk time in this smartphone.
Philips smartphones that are attributing this technology offers 960 hours of stand by time and 15 hours of talk time; whereas, an iPhone 4 offers just 300 hours of stand by time and 7 hours of talk time on 3G.
The mobile phone is expect to be released in India for Rs. 8,200 approximately. This price seems too good to be true, but if the company does succeed to deliver, it will surely make the smartphone market a whole lot more competitive.
