Before the launch of the Microsoft BUILD event it was rumored that Samsung might be the first one to use Windows 8 OS for its future generation devices. The initial rumors were headon, with Pocket-Lint leaking the images of Samsung tablet device running on a Window 8 OS.
According to Apple insider "the 5,000 attendees were given a prototype tablet, dubbed Windows 8 Developer Preview. The Intel i5-based tablet came packed with Internet Explorer 10 and a host of apps developed by Microsoft interns." The tablet is a Samsung series 7 tablet and features a 1.6GHz processor, 11.6-inch screen, dual cameras and is a "pre-release product".
The announcement has already created quite a stir with tech pundits already giving a word about the potential downfall of the Apple's popular iPad tablet.
According to Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer, “Windows 8 represents the redesign of Windows PCs." Associated Foreign Press quoted Sinofsky as saying. "You saw some little snafus today; there are going to be more of them."
