HTC Runnymede and Bliss were leaked recently. Now we have the official specs sheet and press shots available on GSMArena.

Powered by the Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon chipset and a 1.5GHz single-core Scorpion processor, HTC Runnymede runs of Android Gingerbread and HTC Sense UI.

it packs in a 4.7-inch S-LCD WVGA touchscreen and straps in a 8 megapixel snapper at the back and a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera. The device is also capable of 720p video recording and comes with a dual-LED flash. HTC Runnymede is equipped with Beats Audio technology, Adreno 205 graphics,768MB RAM and excellent connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS with A-GPS, tri-band HSPA. Thrown in are a secondary pair of microphone for noise-cancellation.

The other device Bliss, is also a Android Gingerbread based women-centric smartphone (check out the charm indicator and a pouch).
Bliss comes with a 5 megapixel camera with 720p camcorder and a VGA front-facing snapper. Like Runnymede, Bliss also packs in the Qualcomm MSM8255 chipset but with a 1GHz clock speed. Another apparent difference is in the screen size, Bliss has a relatively smaller display at 3.7-inch.

HTC Bliss also come loaded with the latest Sense UI 3.5 and pre-bundled 8GB microSD card. More or less all the other specs in terms of RAM and connectivity options remain same as HTC Runnymede. Rumored to be available by the end of this year, we are expecting HTC Bliss to come with a budget price tag.

Apart from Bliss, HTC has another women centric smartphone, HTC Glamor tucked away in its kitty.

We have seen introduction of several women- centric smartphones in India. Micromax entered the market with Bling Q55 followed by Bling 2. Another domestic company MAXX Mobiles stepped in next with Maxx Vista MS502. Nokia has also tried to tap in the market with the launch of the limited edition pink Nokia N8.
