Earlier last month we had reported about the expected launch of the Vodafone Smart. The Android smartphone finally arrived in the Indian markets via Flipkart. Priced at Rs 6,695 the smartphone comes with both functionality and usability that budget Indian consumers are looking at.
Equipped with a 2.8-inch, 240 x 320 pixels TFT capacitive touchscreen, the Android Froyo running device, comes in the dimension of 56.8 x 103.8 x 12.6 mm. Weighing just 104 g, the lightweight device, packs in a 528 Mhz Qualcomm processor and Adreno 200 GPU.
A 2-megapixel camera snapper comes with the device offering geo-tagging and image editor features. However if you are looking for a video calling feature you can give this phone a skip.
The device is compatible with 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for browsing and surfing the net. Vodafone Smart comes preloaded with Vodafone Music, Vodafone find and a GPS navigator app in a addition to thousands of free apps, thanks to the Android market.
It is supported by a Li-Ion, 1200 mAh that gives mobile users a talk time of 4 hrs (2G), 4 hrs (3G) and a stand by time of 250 hrs (2G), 380 hrs (3G). The device also comes with a expandable storage capacity of 32 GB to store in your files, music, videos and more.
Vodafone recently also launched a dedicated Facebook phone known as Vodafone 555 Blue for Rs 4,590.
