In a bid to reassure people about its plans to release the Windows Phone by the end of the year, Nokia took to twitterosphere. The tweet confirmed that the first Nokia with WP7 devices will ship in Q4. The tweet also mentioned that the shipping of the phones in volume will take place in 2012. Recently Nokia CEO Stephen Elop had stated the same regarding the launch of Windows Phones in 2011.

While he dropped no hints about the countries who would be getting their hands first on the highly anticipated device, the company may have revealed the clue.

According to Engadget, "Nokia Australia's Twitter account was included within the short message, which makes us wonder if they're tossing a little clue our way." We are hoping to hear more on the ongoing developments at the Nokia World which will be held in London from October 26-27.

Expectations are quite high and everybody is excited to see how the first Nokia WP7 device will fare. We saw the glimpse of the first Nokia phone, codenamed Sea Ray earlier. The device runs on a 1 GHZ processor with half a GB of RAM. We hope to see the Ray attractively priced and hopefully combined with impressive specs, it could usher a period of success for both Microsoft and Nokia in the smartphone segment.

Nokia's marketing strategy for its first WP7 handset is not known yet. A Nokia representative speaking to Phone Arena in June had said, "the iron shutters are down around development – it’s “Apple-style” secrecy right now," suggesting a very secretive marketing strategy while another employee had stated that if first Windows Phone, does what Apple did with iPhone, WP7 could reach far out to the customers.

We are hoping to see the Nokia WP7 handsets arrive in India by early 2012.
