Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 Mango update scheduled for next week

Joe Belfiore, Vice President for Windows Phone, Microsoft, recently spilled beans about WP 7.5 Mango update on his official Twitter account. He requested users to be patient and hinted at the possibility of update coming their way in next few days. Interestingly, leading brands Toshiba, Samsung and HTC have already announced devices that they will be rolling out incorporated with updated Mango version. However, no official confirmation about the same is seemingly delaying their launch.
Rumors were amok that Microsoft will be releasing the update on September 15 however, that never happened. Later, Mr. Joe Belfoire tweeted clarifying that it is nothing but a rumor. His exact words were “9/15 isn't mango day, that was another rumor, folks. We've been saying "fall"... it's not fall yet.”
Clearly, he meant come fall i.e., September 23 onwards, one can expect a Mango update from Microsoft. For those who don’t know, Windows Phone 7.5 Mango final design had already leaked on Internet. This probably, prompted all the leading brands to go ahead and announce the arrival of handsets carrying the updated Mango version. HTC had already announced new Titan and Radar handsets while Samsung had announced Focus S and Focus Flash mobile handsets.
With an update coming up, Dell, Acer, ASUS, ZTE and LG (which WP handset partners) are also expected to come with similar announcements. As of now Microsoft is busy promoting its Windows 8 OS. But by next week, one can expect a turnaround.
Whatever be the case, it clearly is one well-thought way of Microsoft to carry forward the legacy of Windows Phone platform and strengthen its position in global market. Having said that the new Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 Mango update is good news for both, users and mobile companies.
