LG LU6200 gets promoted by LG

We live in an era where hardware specifications mean a lot, especially in the Android sphere where there is little to distinguish between smartphones. We saw Samsung take the next step with the Galaxy Note which is supposed to roll out with a Super AMOLED HD display which will have an HD resolution, the first time on a smartphone.
The LG LU6200 which was leaked last week managed to blow us all away with its hardware specifications. And now, LG has taken the curtains off the handset and is set for its promotion in South Korea.
The handset will go up for pre order from the 25th of this month in South Korea, which sadly means that the company is not ready yet for the global launch of the handset. But we think it shouldn’t take long for LG to announce the handset for a worldwide release.
With the announcement of the LG LU6200, LG made it pretty clear that the company are not to be taken lightly. The LU6200 will feature a 4.5 inch AH-IPS display with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels. The smartphone will shift from Nvidia’s Tegra 2 processors to Qualcomm’s 1.5 GHz dual core Scorpion processors with the Adreno 220 GPU.
The handset will also feature an 8-mega pixel camera along with a 1.3MP front facing camera for video calls. There will be 1GB of RAM as well as 4GB of internal memory, which will be expandable of course. And as far as the OS goes, we would have been happy if the LU6200 came out with Ice Cream Sandwich, which is due in a couple of months, but LG has decided to stick with Android 2.3 Gingerbread instead.
And all this will be running on a 1,830 mAh battery which will provide significant amount of juice with a full charge. All in all the LG LU6200 is a beast, and LG wouldn’t want to waste any time in announcing the handset for other countries as well.
