According to Android and Me, the 4chan member supposedly got to play with the Nexus Prime for a while and overheard Samsung officials discuss the specs of the Galaxy S III. Apparently, Samsung officials shared the beta version of the Nexus Prime with the member and his colleagues but hadn’t got the Galaxy S III with them.
According to Android and Me, the 4chan member revealed that the Nexus Prime is sleek but a bit heavy since it weighs approx. 130-140 g. At 8.8 mm thickness, it has a metallic finish with rounded edges and a curved display. The super AMOLED Plus 4.65’’ screen supports a HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720.
The phone runs on the Exynos dual-core 1.5 GHz processor and offers 1 GB RAM, 16 GB of internal memory and a SD card slot. It is powered by a 2000 mAh battery. According to the source, the phone that he handled was running on Android Ice Cream Sandwich v2.4.1. He found the OS remarkably smooth and fast, with no lags.
Although the 4chan member didn’t get to see the Galaxy S III, what he heard makes the phone a force to reckon with. It runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich with TouchWiz 5. It has a quad-core 2 GHz processor, 1.5 GB RAM, 32 GB of internal memory and a SD card slot. It is powered by a 2250 mAh battery. The Super AMOLED III display offers an extremely high resolution of 1280 x 1024 on the phone’s 4.5’’ screen. Supposedly, the Galaxy S III has a 10-mega pixel camera and allows video capture at 1080p. The body of the phone is metallic, glassy and slim with a thickness of 9 mm.
The rumoured details of the Galaxy S III make it seem like a computer squeezed in a phone’s body. The smartphone is slated for release at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next year. If it delivers all that it promises, the Galaxy S III along with the Nexus Prime will secure Samsung’s position as the leader among smartphone makers for a long time, toppling all other players including Apple along the way.
